Week 14 of Shoot & Edit

Prompt: FAITH
This week, like any other week has been a walk of faith for me in many aspects of my life. Some days I really couldn't "see" how the outcome would be, but the scripture says, "We walk by faith and not by sight..." and after handing the situations over to God, with Him being infinite, omniscient and omnipotent, He built my faith in him even more by taking care of everything!
I was blessed on yesterday to take my very first photography class/workshop. If you are able to do so, I would strongly suggest it. Since I am self taught, via learning online and reading books, I was so happy because this workshop filled in some missing gaps and allowed me to shoot with others on my level and we all learned. I was able to shoot with different lenses and to see which ones fit my style and what I plan to purchase- which all in turn helped me to see that I do want to take things to another level and expand my photography into a small business. Total walk of faith...
I love my mom- she has always been so supportive of anything I do and I am really thankful for that! She has told me so many times, "Missy, if you can think it, then, you can do it!" I have been wanting a fancy camera bag for about 6 months and honestly, I cannot justify spending $200-$250 on a bag right now. So, I prayed, trusted God and made my own out of a purse! I got to use it this weekend and I love it! Its made just for me and it only cost me a whole $17! Here's a few pics...

Now...there are three scriptures that came to mind immediately when I read the prompt- Hebrews 11:1-2, Matthew 17:20 and Luke 17:5-6 "And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you."
I teach at a youth camp every year and after teaching them about faith last year, I had quite a bit of mustard seeds leftover and thought it would be nice to use with this weeks prompt.

ooo, I love the mustard seeds with the scripture. I love your bag too - you'll have to do a tutorial on how you converted your purse into a camera bag - I'd love to know!

Woo-hoo on the bag!! I'm planning on making one for myself one of these days -- while I'd love one of those really nice ones, I'm with you -- there's so many other things more important to spend $250 than a camera bag for me! hehe!

Love your mustard seed shot! Very cool idea!
