Week 9 of Shoot & Edit

Please let me begin by saying I appreciate each and every comment I read from everyone. Because I am new to blogger, I am still trying to learn how to respond to each one individually- would someone be kind enough to let me know how to do this? Thank you in advance!
This weeks prompt is "Spring". It hasn't quite made it here, but its trying to show itself. I have noticed the grass is greening and the trees have little buds on them. Funny, how when I was younger, it seemed that the seasons changed before I knew it, but now...now, I have learned to take the time and actually watch the seasons change from one to the other.

My pics for this week are from a plant right outside my back door- I call them "Live Forevers" My mother gave me my first one. It has grown so much until it is time for me to break it off and start a few new plants. Two years ago, I met a woman via garage sale who LOVES plants and after we talked and I was schooled on plants, she gave me a different version of her Live Forevers. Anyway, I am amazed because no matter how cold it is, I can count for them to make an appearance around this time. I looked out in February, with the snow and there they were!
I took this first pic so you can see what I am working with. The brown/gray is what is leftover from last year- it's dead. But, as you can see in the background...green!

Since it recently rain, I could see little drops in between the leaves, and I couldn't resist a macro shot:

Or two...

I love the shot with the new and the old! beautiful. I agree with Jill...check out blogs you can and do your best but keep it fun! Don't feel like you always have to comment each time....appreciating their photos and words is the important piece. Welcome!

I love these flowers and I have them in pink, dark red with purple leaves and white. Sedum spectabile is what they are called but the common name in the UK is Ice Plant which seems appropriate for your type of climate just now.

I woke up this morning to 25 comments to return to and sometimes I just can't return as many as that in the short time I have in the evenings on the internet. I'm sure we all understand that everyone's family comes first to a blogger.

Sometimes I just click on the name of the person who has sent me the comment in my comment section and then find their latest blog post - it's difficult if they have a few blogs so for me I normally leave a note of which blog I am visiting from like today for your blog I'm over at leavesnbloom photography.

Lovely shots, Mrs. Missy! And I love your comments about how your perspective has changed on the changing of seasons!

As far as responding to comments, there are a few ways you can do it: 1) If the commenter has an email linked, just reply (if you receive the comments in your email). I find this is easiest, but 2) Not everyone has an email address linked up, so you can also reply as a comment to your post; however, 3) Most people don't take the time to come back to your post for a reply, so for those who don't have an email address, I find the easiest thing is to go to their blog and return the favor of a comment on their latest post. You can include a little PS with any answers to questions they had or responses you wanted to make to their comment...or just a thank you for stopping by.

Looks like you're all set with the comments - I have a hard time revisiting everyone but I try to at least reply to comments.

Love the 1st one you (when you gave 2 options at the bottom). Looks a little sharper.
