Soooo, now that FNA has gotten me totally hooked on water drops and splashes, I decided to play around with the concept a little more. I thought really hard of how to have a set up close to hers and the man in video tutorial and this is what the Lord brought to mind...
I used one of our bar stools, a photography light, a saucer and a bowl nearby to empty the water from the saucer so it wouldn't overflow. Some kind of way, I have the plastic bag of water suspended by a large safety pin and thread- I could explain it, but here's a pic instead:
The only thing I would suggest is to lift the bag a little higher so the shadow from the flash won't show in the pics. In this case- it kinda gave my drops a design in the middle...here's the results with different color paper for the backgrounds (click on pic for a larger view):
BTW-I do not own a micro lens, but I did purchase screw on macro lens set for about $15 on amazon.com.
